Ways to Help

Our mission at Dreams for Emily is to raise awareness and advocate for our daughter Emily, IDIC 15 (aka Dup15q) and Autism; to raise funds to meet the medical/therapeutic/equipment needs of those affected with IDIC 15 (who we refer to as Emily’s “brothers and sisters”) and/or Autism; and to make monetary donations to assist with research.

Empowering Equipment

We are proud to have been able to help 35 children with IDIC 15 with donations for various needs. It is very important to us to reach out and help as many individual children with IDIC 15 as possible. Some of the assistance we provided included:

• sensory fidgets
• iPads
• service dogs
• sensory lighting
• educational items
• Christmas/holiday gifts
• Dragon Naturally Speaking

We've also been able to provide monetary donations for individual events to benefit Dup15q, as well as donations to the Dup15q Alliance for research purposes. Research is not only important for our children now, but for the future of children yet to be diagnosed with IDIC 15.
